Privacy Policy

UniFile (“the Application”) is a macOS utility that processes files entirely on your device. This policy describes how the Application handles your information.

Information we collect: None. The Application does not collect, transmit, or store personal data of any kind. All file processing - including image conversion, video compression, PDF manipulation, archive operations, and AI-powered features such as background removal and document summarization - is performed locally on your Mac using native macOS frameworks. No files or file contents are ever uploaded to external servers.

Network activity: The Application makes no network requests in connection with file processing. It operates fully offline and requires no internet connection to function. You may independently verify this using network monitoring tools.

Accounts and identifiers: The Application does not require account creation, login credentials, or any form of user identification. No personal identifiers are generated or stored.

Local preferences: The Application stores user preferences locally on your device using standard macOS mechanisms. This data is not accessible to us and is removed when you uninstall the Application.

Payment processing: Purchases are processed by Paddle, a third-party payment provider. UniFile does not receive, process, or store any payment information. Paddle's handling of transaction data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy: If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the date above. Given the nature of the Application, meaningful changes are unlikely - there is nothing to collect.
